For tourists who want to live like locals... Exploring the "hidden gems"...
Sometimes the best locations aren't found in travel books. The most exquisite locale doesn't mean the most exquisite food! Exploring eateries on off-the-beat-paths, Off The Grid takes the viewer on an exciting travel adventure in search of "hidden gems". The viewer dives head first into places known for their tastes rather than their place. This doesn't mean the setting contains a lack of: culture, history, and/or beauty. In fact, there'll be plenty of that where we're going! We're only saying, "sometimes you need to go a little Off The Grid!"
Off The Grid is a webiseries made for mainstream, internet television. Each episode will be approximately a five-minute segment. Within each webisode, our host will travel to a vacation city. We'll visit anywhere from 3 to 5 different eateries per episode.
Due to the mass appeal of both food and travel, combining the two elements in one show makes for a large target audience and demographics.
Our host Gigi Berry possesses charismatic and upbeat qualities. She's an excellent interviewer. In addition, she can deliver the facts and information in a highly informative manner.
She'll interview owner(s), chef(s), cook(s), & patrons. Furthermore, Gigi tastes different recipes, informs the audience with history / facts, and tries her luck in the kitchen.
We'll showcase each particular location, as well as the city in which it resides. This will allow the viewer to get an intimate, close-up look and better understanding of each establishment
Off The Grid highlights those eateries and locations usually not known to the general public. It unveils a world of underground, lesser-known eateries and dishes across the world. Make sure you strap your seatbelt on tight because where we're going there'll be a lot of flavor!
